If you work with young people, or want to, this is the month to get moving. There are 41 Erasmus+ projects open right now across 23 countries, from a habit formation retreat in the Latvian countryside and burnout prevention in the Pirin mountains to reforestation in Transylvania, board games as youth work tools in Cyprus, and a green transition conference in Paris. Most are training courses and youth exchanges for youth workers, with a run of seminars, partnership-building activities, conferences and free online courses alongside them. The earliest deadlines are today, so start at the top.
Because these run through Erasmus+, the money is largely handled. For the residential projects, your travel and your stay, meaning accommodation and food, are covered by the EU grant, and you leave with a Youthpass certificate recognising what you learned. You usually just need to be a resident of an eligible programme or partner country, and each listing shows who can apply. Three of these are online (two webinars and a four week Agile and Scrum course) so there is nothing to travel to and nothing to pay, just sign up and show up. Deadlines run from today, 2 August, through to 29 August 2026.
