If you have ever wanted the United Nations, a treaty organisation or a top European institution on your CV, this is the week to act. There are 29 internships and jobs open across 20 countries whose deadlines all fall between 3 and 10 August 2026: human rights communications with the OHCHR in New York, anti trafficking work with UNODC in Vienna and Dakar, climate finance with UNEP in Bangkok, child nutrition policy with UNICEF in China, environmental law at the Palais des Nations in Geneva, and salaried roles at the European Investment Fund in Luxembourg and the Council of Bars and Law Societies of Europe in Brussels. From New York and Geneva to Nairobi, Kathmandu and Bogotá, this is a genuinely worldwide set of openings, and the clock on every one of them runs out this week.
A word on funding, because it matters. Most UN internships are unpaid, but they open doors that are very hard to open any other way, and a number of these do come with money. GIZ near Frankfurt pays 2,349 euro a month, the think tank role in Brussels 850 euro a month, the OPCW in The Hague 540 euro, and the water research institute in Sri Lanka a monthly stipend, while the tech internship in Spain is paid. Two of these are full salaried jobs: the Compliance Officer post at the European Investment Fund and the Communications Officer role at the CCBE in Brussels. The rest are unpaid internships inside institutions that shape global policy. What they all share is the deadline, and it is this week.
