France is the single most active country on Youth Works Hub right now, and this is your complete August list. There are 24 fully funded European Solidarity Corps placements across France with deadlines this month, from supporting isolated elderly people near Paris and in Brittany to running a web radio near Carcassonne, farming mushrooms at an eco-place, restoring a medieval castle, and promoting European values at Europe Direct centres. Whether you want to work with older people, young people, culture, the environment or Europe itself, there is a placement here for you. The earliest close on 4 August, so start at the top.
Because these all run through the European Solidarity Corps, the funding is covered: travel, accommodation, food, local transport, insurance, a monthly pocket money allowance and language and online training, with a mentor on site. You need to be a legal resident of an EU, associated or partner country and registered on the ESC portal, and each listing shows exactly who can apply. A few ask for basic French.
