Erasmus+ is not only for students and interns. A significant — and often overlooked — part of the program is dedicated to youth workers, trainers, youth leaders, and project managers who want to develop their skills, build international networks, and design better projects for the young people they work with.
Below are 8 currently open Erasmus+ opportunities specifically for youth workers and leaders, ranging from in-person training courses in Germany, Lithuania, Austria, Estonia, and the Netherlands to free online webinar series and a major international youth forum in Bulgaria. Travel, accommodation, and food are covered for most in-person activities. The online courses are completely free.
Deadlines run from March to April 2026. Several are closing within days.

Free Online Webinar Series for Youth Workers — “From Okay to Slay”, Liechtenstein
A free 5-part online webinar series covering automation, youth participation strategies, youth exchanges, leadership, and mental health. Open to youth workers and leaders worldwide. Youthpass certificate included.
Partnership Building Activity — Inclusion Project Lab in Valga County, Estonia
Co-develop structured project proposals on No Hate Speech, human rights education, and anti-discrimination alongside youth workers from across Europe. Accommodation, food, and travel fully covered.

Erasmus+ Youth Forum — One Card, One Europe in Sofia, Bulgaria
Connect with 200+ young leaders, entrepreneurs, and changemakers from across Europe. Topics include youth leadership, digital skills, climate action, AI, entrepreneurship, and the Erasmus+ Student Card Initiative. Accommodation and meals fully covered for international participants.
Impact Factory — Youth Participation & Solidarity Projects Lab in Salzburg, Austria
Receive step-by-step support in developing your own Erasmus+ Youth Participation or European Solidarity Corps project idea. Accommodation and food covered, Youthpass included. Note: conducted entirely in German.
Facilitation Skills & Systemic Education Training in Ommen, Netherlands
Develop your facilitation skills, emotional awareness, and systemic thinking through two residential training weeks and eight online mentoring sessions. Accommodation and food fully covered.
A Note on Eligibility
Most of these activities are open to youth workers, youth leaders, trainers, and project managers from Erasmus+ Programme Countries. For in-person activities, your sending organisation (usually an NGO, youth organisation, or municipality) applies for the grant on your behalf — you do not apply to the EU directly.
If you are not currently affiliated with a sending organisation, some activities — particularly the online courses and the Bulgaria Youth Forum — accept individual applications. Check the full listing for each opportunity before applying.
