You can join an international Erasmus+ training course held at a beautiful homestead in the Kaunas district, Lithuania, where youth work professionals from across Europe and beyond will come together to explore global climate trends, practice non-formal learning tools, and co-design participatory climate action initiatives for and with young people. If you are motivated to bring sustainability and climate justice into your daily youth work โ regardless of your prior experience on the topic โ this training is made for you.
What Will You Do During the Training?
๐Explore current global trends related to climate change and sustainability and their relevance to youth work
๐ฑDevelop a shared understanding of sustainability and what it means for everyday youth work practice
๐Understand the complexity and multiple perspectives surrounding climate challenges facing young people today

Accommodation, Food & Travel
๐กYou will stay at Sadauskลณ Sodyba โ a beautiful homestead surrounded by Lithuanian nature in the Kaunas district, in shared rooms of 3 to 4 persons
๐ฝ๏ธAll accommodation, food, and local transportation costs are covered by the host organisation โ if you have any dietary requirements or allergies, note them in the application form
๐ถThere is no participation fee for this training course
โ๏ธTravel costs are reimbursed following Erasmus+ programme rules using the EU distance calculator (destination: Antalkiai) โ please check the infopack for full details
๐ฑGreen travel is strongly encouraged โ if you travel by low-emission transport (bus, train, or car-pooling), you can receive additional reimbursement of up to โฌ130 for extra travel days (accommodation up to โฌ70 and food up to โฌ60)
๐From Kaunas bus station, take bus no. 153, 154, or 170 and get off at the "Antalkiai" stop โ the venue is a 5-minute walk from there
๐ก๏ธPlease bring all original travel documents for reimbursement โ only fiscal receipts are accepted; taxi costs are only reimbursed for late arrivals or early departures when public transport is unavailable
Training & Learning
๐Every participant will receive a Youthpass certificate to formally recognise their competence development during the training

๐The training is designed and delivered by Global Citizens' Academy (GCA), an experienced Lithuanian organisation working in global citizenship education, sustainability, and human rights since 2014

๐ผYou are a youth worker, youth leader, educator, mentor, trainer, or coordinator active in youth centres, youth organisations, or non-formal education settings
๐ฑYou have little or no prior experience in climate change and sustainability topics โ this training is designed to be accessible for beginners
๐You are motivated to enhance your professional competencies and bring sustainability principles into your daily work with young people
๐You are a citizen or resident of an Erasmus+ Programme country, Eastern Partnership country, or Western Balkan country
๐ขYou are connected to an organisation with an Erasmus+ OID number that will act as your sending organisation and support your learning outcomes

You are not participating in another Erasmus+ long-term project during the training period
๐ฃ๏ธYou have a good command of English and are able to participate in the full programme
๐ฅTo keep the group balanced, no more than 3 participants will be selected from one country
