Description

The project is designed to equip youth workers with digital skills and tools to strengthen civic participation and engage young people through Information and Communication Technology (ICT).

Project Summary: Leveraging ICT and Social Media for Youth Inclusion and Participation

Aim of the Project: The project is designed to equip youth workers with digital skills and tools to strengthen civic participation and engage young people through Information and Communication Technology (ICT). A core aim is to promote civic engagement through digital tools.

Objectives:

Strengthen Digital Competencies: Provide practical training in ICT, social media engagement, and digital content creation. Youth workers will be trained to guide young people in critical media analysis, recognizing misinformation, and using digital platforms for youth activism and community participation.

Ensure Inclusion and Equal Access: Develop strategies to engage marginalized and disadvantaged young people who face barriers to digital participation.

Encourage Innovation: Introduce interactive, gamified, and blended learning approaches to make digital engagement more dynamic and adaptive.

Strengthen Transnational Cooperation: Establish a European Digital Youth Work Network for collaboration and knowledge exchange, and develop a Digital Civic Engagement Toolkit with practical resources.

Outcome: The project aims to significantly enhance the digital skills of youth workers and strengthen youth engagement through the use of digital tools for non-formal education and social participation. It seeks to expand civic participation through youth-led activism and make digital youth work more accessible and inclusive for young people from diverse and disadvantaged backgrounds. The project's sustainability will be ensured through the creation of a European-wide network of digital youth workers and an open-access toolkit, ensuring that the methodologies remain relevant and scalable.
