Are you a youth worker, trainer, or educator ready to take the next step in your professional journey and develop your identity as a skilled facilitator and space holder? You can join Morphology of Connection โ a unique 6-month Erasmus+ learning programme in Ommen, the Netherlands, designed to unlock your true power as a facilitator through two residential training courses and eight online mentoring sessions. You will deepen your relational literacy, emotional awareness, conflict resolution skills, and systemic understanding โ all while connecting with like-minded professionals from across Europe in a beautiful natural setting. Accommodation and food are covered by the Erasmus+ programme, and travel costs are reimbursed based on distance.
Programme Structure โ 3 Parts Over 6 Months
๐ฟ Part I โ The Art of Holding Space for Others | 16โ22 June 2026 | Ommen, Netherlands
- Module 1 โ Earth (Pause): Nervous system regulation, zones of regulation, recognising triggers, availability and presence
- Module 2 โ Water (Feel): Active listening, recognising emotions and pseudo-feelings (NVC framework), conversational techniques and basic coaching, reflecting on feelings and connecting them to needs
- Module 3 โ Fire (Assertiveness & Confrontation): Recognising and communicating clear boundaries, formulating clear messages, conflict resolution
- Module 4 โ Air (Integration & Creativity): Practice, exchange of experiences, integration of learning
๐ป Part II โ Online Mentoring Module | July โ August 2026 | Online via Zoom
- 8 weekly online sessions with experienced trainers providing guidance, new tools, and personalised support
- Each participant develops and completes a personal project related to their role as an educator, youth worker, or facilitator
- Your personal project can be a workshop for your community, an improvement in your current work, or a career development step โ it should have impact both on you and on the people you work with
๐ Part III โ Systemic Education | 9โ13 September 2026 | Ommen, Netherlands
- Systemic skills: mapping personal, organisational, and community systems, identifying hidden dynamics, and recognising visible and invisible roles
- Application of the 5R Model of Systems in educational contexts
- Facilitation skills for group dynamics with systemic awareness
- Conflict resolution and inclusion tools through understanding systemic dynamics of belonging and balance
- Art of Hosting and participatory leadership practices for facilitating inclusive, collaborative spaces
- Strategic planning and integration: developing long-term practice plans for mentoring, local projects, and organisational development
Accommodation, Food & Travel
๐กBoth residential parts of the programme take place at the Olde Vechte Foundation youth centre in Ommen โ a peaceful venue surrounded by forest and a river, ideal for deep learning and connection with nature
๐ฝ๏ธAccommodation and food are fully covered by the Erasmus+ programme for both residential training weeks
๐ถA participation fee of โฌ90 applies to this programme
๐The venue is just a 10-minute walk from Ommen train station โ easy to reach from anywhere in the Netherlands and beyond
๐๏ธParticipants are accommodated in shared rooms of 2 to 3 persons with shared common areas, co-working space, living room, dining area, and bathrooms
