Climate change is making disasters more frequent, more severe, and less predictable. The communities that survive them best are the ones that were prepared. This ESC team project in Tรผrkiye is built around that truth โ and it is looking for volunteers who want to be part of building that preparedness from the ground up.
Sorgun Genรงlik Derneฤi (SORGED) is coordinating You Future โ a 30-day ESC team volunteering project in Sorgun, Tรผrkiye, bringing together 10 young volunteers per team for intensive training and community-level awareness work on disaster preparedness, climate change, post-disaster recovery, and community resilience.
What Is This Role About?
Volunteers go through a structured training programme covering key disaster-related topics โ and then take that knowledge directly into the community. You will organise training sessions, events, and awareness campaigns for local children, young people, and adults, turning what you have learned into real public impact. Workshops, seminars, field visits, and group activities are all part of the experience โ as is the intercultural dimension of working alongside volunteers from across Europe and beyond.
