This ESC Humanitarian Aid volunteering opportunity takes place in Alvorada, Porto Alegre, Brazil ๐ง๐ท within the Umbรบntu Social Project โ a community and cultural space located in a disadvantaged district.
The project combines humanitarian engagement, community development, intercultural exchange, and environmental sustainability. Volunteers will support social inclusion initiatives while actively contributing to eco-friendly practices and climate awareness actions.
Umbรบntu offers workshops and activities focused on culture, creativity, and sustainable living, creating a vibrant non-formal learning environment.
๐ฏ Volunteer Role
โจ Support and facilitate workshops on edible plant processing, handicrafts, capoeira, percussion, and language teaching
โจ Apply non-formal education methods in community-based activities
โจ Participate in farming and permaculture gardening
โจ Contribute to eco-construction and manual sustainability projects
โจ Promote climate awareness and green alternatives
โจ Encourage intercultural dialogue within the local community
This experience blends social impact, environmental responsibility, and hands-on community work.
