🌍 About the Project

This ESC Humanitarian Aid volunteering opportunity takes place in Tegucigalpa, Honduras 🇭🇳 supporting TECHO’s communication, marketing, and public relations strategy.

The volunteer will contribute to strengthening institutional positioning, increasing media visibility, and enhancing digital communication strategies within a humanitarian and social justice framework.

This is a strategic communication-focused role within a multidisciplinary team addressing poverty and inequality from a human rights perspective.

🎯 Volunteer Role

✨ Support the development and implementation of institutional communication strategies
✨ Design campaigns aligned with organisational goals
✨ Manage and strengthen relationships with media, journalists, and influencers
✨ Support digital channels: social media, website, and email marketing
✨ Coordinate press releases and media dissemination
✨ Contribute to livestreams, podcasts, performances, and creative formats
✨ Support media coverage of events and field activities
✨ Monitor communication metrics and adjust strategies accordingly
✨ Collaborate with volunteering, community management, housing, finance, and other departments

👤 Participant Profile

👥 Age 18–35
🌍 Resident in an EU Member State, North Macedonia, Iceland, Liechtenstein, or Türkiye
🎓 Completed compulsory Humanitarian Aid Volunteering training
🚫 Must not have previously participated in individual Humanitarian Aid Volunteering
⏳ Total EU volunteering experience must not exceed 12 months

💼 Experience in civil society organisations preferred
🎨 Proficiency in Adobe Creative Cloud (Illustrator, Photoshop, Lightroom, Canva) or similar
📝 Experience in content writing and press releases desirable
🗣 Proficient Spanish required
📊 Ability to measure communication impact and adjust strategy
🤝 Strong coordination and organisational skills
