📚 About the Project
Hosted by Asociatia Profesionala Neguvernamentala de Asistenta Sociala ASSOC, this volunteering project in Baia Mare, Romania, invites young people to join a vibrant team working to create positive change through social assistance, art, creativity, and community engagement.
ASSOC believes in the transformative power of art, culture, and human connection, offering activities that uplift spirits, encourage self-expression, and support vulnerable groups. Volunteers participate in artistic workshops, social workshops, educational events, cultural interactions, and community programmes that make a real difference. 🎭🎨🎶

🎯 What You Will Do
Volunteers will join a dynamic mix of social and artistic activities, including:

• Leading and assisting painting, music, and theatre workshops
• Supporting community artistic sessions to encourage creativity
• Helping organise Social Workshops and Social Events
• Assisting in educational seminars, cultural exchanges, and community engagement projects
• Working with children, youth, adults, and seniors in inclusive and empowering environments
• Contributing ideas and energy to ongoing social initiatives and community development
  A warm, energetic team will support volunteers in making meaningful contributions. ❤️🤲

🏠 Accommodation, Food & Transport

• Pocket money: €4/day
• Food allowance: €10/day
• Travel costs reimbursed according to ESC rules and the European Commission distance calculator
• Volunteers pay upfront for travel and receive reimbursement with valid documents (tickets, receipts, boarding passes)
  A supportive organisational environment ensures volunteers have everything needed for a comfortable stay. 🌟🏡

🎓 Training During the Activity
Volunteers receive structured ESC trainings:

• On-Arrival Training: Cultural orientation, ESC rights & responsibilities, Youthpass guidance, adaptation support
• Mid-Term Training: Reflection on progress, personal learning goals, social impact and community involvement
  Ongoing support ensures volunteers develop key social, intercultural, organisational, and communication skills. 🎓🌍

🙋 Participant Profile
Ideal volunteers are:

• 18–30 years old
• Motivated, open-minded, and eager to participate in community life
• Positive, proactive, and comfortable working with diverse groups
• Respectful of different cultures and ready to learn
• Able to contribute to a multicultural environment
  English is helpful but not mandatory—attitude and enthusiasm are what matter most!
