๐ About the Project
SOCIETATEA PENTRU TINERET OUTWARD BOUND ROMANIA is offering an exceptional outdoor experiential education opportunity in Sovata, Romania for 2026. This programme is perfect for young people who want to develop outdoor leadership, facilitation skills, youth work experience, and personal resilience while working in nature. Volunteers will learn how to design, implement, and lead outdoor learning programs while supporting diverse participant groups. ๐ฟ๐ฅ
๐ฏ What You Will Do
Volunteers (5 positions available) will:
- Participate in planning and implementing adventure education courses
- Support equipment management and logistics for outdoor programmes
- Assist in social media content creation and video editing about project activities
- Gain approx. 20 days of training + minimum 80 days of practical outdoor programme facilitation
- Learn to independently design and lead outdoor learning sessions
You will develop green skills, pedagogical competencies, teamwork abilities, communication skills, solidarity, and personal leadership confidence. ๐๐งญ

๐ Accommodation, Food & Transport
- Accommodation in a 3-room flat in Sovata
- Work at the OBR Youth Center complex (participant house, staff house, lake, ropes course, large outdoor area)
- During programs, volunteers sleep at the center and meals are provided
- Monthly support:ย 150 EUR food allowance + 4 EUR/day pocket money
- International and local travel costs reimbursed based on tickets/invoices

๐ Training During the Activity
Outward Bound Romania provides internal courses in:
- Expedition skills
- Water activities
- Ropes course & rock climbing
- Outdoor education methodologies
Volunteers will also attendย On-Arrivalย andย Mid-Term Trainingsย by the Romanian National Agency. โบ๐

๐ Participant Profile
You are the ideal volunteer if you:
- Areย 20โ30 years old
- Are a resident of anย EU country
- Speak good English
- Can commit to 9 months in Sovata
- Enjoy working with children and young people
- Love nature, hiking, outdoor activities
- Have physical endurance and can adapt to challenges
- Are open-minded, resilient, eager to grow and learn
Experience with youth or outdoor activities is an advantage. ๐๐ช
