Twenty new fully funded European Solidarity Corps placements just opened across 13 countries, and at Youth Works Hub we've sorted them so you can see exactly what's out there and how fast you need to move. Seven are marked as soon as possible, meaning hosts are already reviewing applications and could close the spot within days, so if one of the ASAP roles below speaks to you, do not wait for a quiet weekend to apply. The rest close between 03 and 10 September, giving you a little more breathing room to prepare a strong motivation letter and CV before you submit.
This batch leans heavily into hands-on community and social care work: a kindergarten placement in Poland, national volunteering in social care in Sweden, youth empowerment projects in Tรผrkiye and Bulgaria, and inclusive education support for children with disabilities in Romania. Spain brings two placements built around sustainability, toy libraries and bike-repair workshops, one pairing volunteering with content creation and social media. Five separate roles cluster around Genoa, Italy, each hosted by a different long-running local organisation and each focused on a distinct group: unaccompanied minors, refugees and asylum seekers, young girls in residential care, at-risk children, and neighbourhood kids and teens, so if Italy interests you, read all five carefully before choosing which fits you best. Croatia offers two very different placements, one moving between mountain villages and a small island supporting elderly residents, the other slowing down in a rural eco-centre focused on sustainable living. Slovakia needs support running a youth centre and summer camps, Greece is looking for a volunteer to run its youth information office and social media in Xylokastro, and Portugal has a six-month placement working with toddlers at a social kindergarten in Lisbon, open only to female applicants from Spain, France or Italy.
Two placements in this batch sit under the ESC's humanitarian aid volunteering track rather than standard volunteering: a project in Namayumba, Uganda building a youth vocational centre from the ground up, and a 180-day placement in Okhaldhunga, Nepal supporting communities recovering from recent devastating floods. Both are physically demanding and genuinely high-impact, and because they fall under humanitarian aid rather than standard ESC, the age range extends up to 35. As with every ESC placement, all 20 of these are fully funded, covering your flight, accommodation, food and a monthly allowance, so the only real cost of applying is the time it takes to write a good motivation letter. Whether this is your first ESC application or your fifth, there is a place for you somewhere in this list.
As ESC placements, all 20 roles are fully funded: travel to and from the host country, accommodation, food and a monthly pocket money allowance are covered, along with insurance. The two humanitarian aid placements in Uganda and Nepal follow the same funding structure but sit under ESC's humanitarian aid strand, which allows applicants up to 35. Deadlines in this batch cluster from immediate (as soon as possible) through to 10 September, so check each listing's own deadline before you start your application.

๐ Deadline: 10 September 2026
Join a 180-day journey of solidarity and recovery. After Nepal's recent devastating floods, the STARRY project with Volunteers Initiative Nepal (ViN) begins with relief and community recovery, then moves into long-term empowerment work at the NaraTika Community Learning Center in Okhaldhunga. Focus on children and women: child protection, life-skills and creative activities, educational support, women's empowerment, digital literacy, basic English and entrepreneurship. Open to applicants aged 18 to 35 from ๐น๐ท ๐ฉ๐ช ๐ฎ๐น ๐ซ๐ท ๐ช๐ธ and 26 more.
Across these 20 placements, Youth Works Hub count opportunities in 13 countries, from a Polish kindergarten to a flood-recovery project in rural Nepal, and from national volunteering open only to Swedish residents to placements welcoming applicants from dozens of eligible countries. Seven are open now with no fixed deadline, so those could disappear first; the remaining thirteen close on specific dates between 03 and 10 September, giving you a short but workable window to put together a solid application. If you are drawn to hands-on community and social work, look closely at the five Genoa-based placements, each run by a different Italian host organisation supporting a different group, from unaccompanied minors to at-risk children to young girls building independence. If you want something closer to home comforts with a rural pace, Croatia's eco-centre placement and Slovakia's youth centre and camp support are both worth a look. And if you are ready for something more physically and emotionally demanding, the humanitarian aid placements in Uganda and Nepal offer real, visible impact within a matter of months.
Every one of these placements is fully funded, so cost should not be the reason you do not apply; time is the bigger constraint here, especially for the ASAP listings. Read the eligibility list on each one carefully, since several are restricted to specific countries or, in Sweden's and Portugal's case, to residents or applicants of a particular gender. Prepare your CV and a motivation letter that is specific to the placement rather than generic, since hosts reviewing ASAP applications tend to move quickly on the strongest fit. At Youth Works Hub, we list opportunities like these as soon as they open, so if volunteering abroad through the European Solidarity Corps has been on your mind, this batch of 20 fully funded placements across 13 countries is a solid place to start. Check the deadlines, pick the ones that genuinely fit your interests and eligibility, and apply.
