Description
The activities will take place in "Eko centar Latinovac" in a small village in Croatia. We will host 13 participants to work on sustainable and rural development, community building, promotion of volunteerism and multiculturalism. During this period we will focus activities with schools and improving our property. Besides that participants will participate and organize events for local community, gardening, helping in the kitchen, helping people in the local community and renovating old school in the village. Participants will experience living and working in a community, rural lifestyle, sustainable practices, vegetarian cuisine and a lifestyle less affected by global challenges. Working time is 6 hours per day, 5 days per week, although the schedule can change depending on the weather.

Accommodation, food and transport arrangements
Participants will be accommodated in the village with the local hosts and share a room, toilet and shower, but also some volunteers will be accommodated in the property of Eko centar Latinovac. During the working days, our chef will prepare three vegetarian meals for the group. During the free days participants will receive 7โฌ per day for food and will have a shared kitchen. Participants will get pocket money in the amount of 10โฌ per day. Transport costs will be reimbursed after the arrival and up to the limit, depending on the distance. It will be discussed before arrival.
Training during the activity
Participants can expect daily supervision in all activities; for more complex tasks, participants will have theoretical and demonstrational training and management. During the project activities participants will have mentor support through group and individual meetings. Participants are welcome to share their skill sets.
Participant profile
Participants should be willing to live and work in a rural area, in a multicultural community, open to different lifestyles and cultures, be adaptable, responsible and punctual, be interested in the topics of sustainability and ecology, willing to interact with people of all ages and have a basic understanding of English language.
