Join Fundaciรณn Alianza por los Derechos, la Igualdad y la Solidaridad Internacional, a member of the ActionAid network, in Kolda, Senegal, and contribute to meaningful humanitarian work focused on gender equality, migration rights, and climate justice.
As an Assistant Project Officer, youโll take part in every stage of project management โ from design to evaluation โ supporting initiatives that promote womenโs empowerment, sustainable rural livelihoods, and solid waste management through circular economy practices.
This is your opportunity to learn about international cooperation, feminist leadership, and the role of active citizenship in driving social change โ while living and working within a multicultural environment. ๐โจ
๐ฑ What Youโll Do
๐ช Support the identification, planning, and evaluation of humanitarian projects
๐พ Help design gender-sensitive rural livelihood initiatives
๐ฉโ๐พ Empower women as leaders in the agro-ecological transition
๐ Participate in awareness-raising on climate justice and migration rights
๐ Contribute to circular-economy projects for solid waste management
๐ค Work closely with local partners, beneficiaries, and community organisations
๐ Accommodation, Allowance & Living Conditions
๐ก Live in shared accommodation in Kolda, with your own private bedroom
๐ถ Receive โฌ479.72/month for food and personal expenses
๐ A vehicle is provided for official activities
๐ฑ A local phone card is included
๐ฉบ Covered by Henner health insurance
๐ Accommodation, utilities, and basic costs are fully covered by the host organisation
๐ Training & Learning
You will receive:
๐ Introduction to Alianza por la Solidaridad and ESC humanitarian volunteering
๐ Workshops on rights, responsibilities, and Youthpass
๐ช Training on feminist leadership, gender violence prevention, reproductive rights, and positive masculinities
๐ฏ Field experience with multidisciplinary teams
๐ง Skills development in decolonial and anti-racist feminism, intercultural learning, and project management
๐ค Participant Profile
We welcome volunteers who are:
๐ Curious and respectful of new cultures
๐ฌ Able to communicate in basic French (willing to improve during the stay)
๐ก Motivated to learn about project management and gender equality
๐ค Open-minded, adaptable, and eager to contribute in diverse environments
Previous NGO or gender-related experience is an asset, but not mandatory.
Applications are especially encouraged from migrants, economically disadvantaged youth, and people from rural areas โ this project is for everyone. ๐
