 Project Overview

Join Margherita Società Cooperativa Sociale in Sandrigo (Vicenza), Italy, for a meaningful long-term volunteering experience that brings social inclusion, solidarity, and learning together! 🌿

The FUTURE MAKERS project invites young volunteers to support people with disabilities, elderly people, and children, while learning from experienced educators and contributing to a more caring, inclusive community.

This project offers an incredible opportunity to grow personally and professionally while making a positive social impact in Northern Italy.

💡 What You’ll Do

  • 🧩 Support people with intellectual disabilities in educational and daily centres
  • 👵 Assist elderly people in social day-care and community activities
  • 👧 Organise creative, outdoor, and intercultural workshops for children
  • 💬 Collaborate with educators to design activities that promote empathy, respect, and inclusion
  • 🌍 Contribute to community life and cultural exchange in Sandrigo

🏡 Accommodation, Food & Transport

  • Shared apartment with 6 ESC volunteers (3 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms, kitchen, living room, terrace)
  • Pocket money and food allowance provided monthly in accordance with ESC rules for Italy
  • Travel reimbursement: up to €309 for arrival and return
  • Local transport and all activity-related costs covered

🎓 Training & Support

  • Pre-departure training by the sending organisation
  • On-arrival and mid-term training organised by the Italian National Agency
  • Safety and orientation training by the host organisation
  • Italian language course for integration and communication
  • Continuous mentorship and Youthpass certification at the end of service

👤 Who Can Apply

We’re looking for motivated and empathetic young volunteers (18–30 years old) who:

  • Have an open and flexible mindset
  • Enjoy working with people of different ages and abilities
  • Are interested in social work, inclusion, and youth participation
  • Are ready to engage in both local life and teamwork with other volunteers
  • Speak at least basic English (no Italian required — language support provided)
  • Are eager to grow personally, culturally, and socially

Professional experience is not required — what matters most is motivation and a caring attitude.
