Asociatia de Tineret Onestin is bringing together 20 young volunteers from different countries for Merry Go Tiun โ a group ESC project that combines farm life at Perma Halos, festival organisation in the local park, and a wide range of activities dedicated to both volunteers and the local community. The festival at the heart of this project โ Merry Go Park โ is now in its third edition and is dedicated to the people of Romania, with a particular focus on children and young people.
What Is This Role About?
This is a team volunteering experience that puts you right in the middle of real community life. You will be planning daily farm activities, preparing and running a community festival, working with local youth, and living collectively with 19 other volunteers from different cultural backgrounds. Stepping out of your comfort zone is not just encouraged here โ it is built into the structure of the project.
Activities
๐พ Daily planning of farm life at Perma Halos โ hands-on, practical, and grounded in nature
๐ช Organising, promoting, and implementing the Merry Go Park festival for the local community
๐ง Non-formal activities with local youth โ arts, crafts, outdoor activities, and more
๐ณ Cooking and contributing to shared daily responsibilities
๐พ Working with animals and caring for the garden and outdoor areas
๐ง Morning sessions โ yoga, meditation, and sports activities
๐ A dedicated skill-sharing day where each volunteer contributes their own knowledge and expertise
๐๏ธ Community living โ taking care of the shared house together as a team

Training & Schedule

Accommodation, Food & Transport
๐ Volunteers live in shared community-style housing โ rooms, bathrooms, and a kitchen provided
๐ค Taking care of the house is part of the experience โ teamwork and a sense of belonging are built into daily life
๐ Local transport provided by the hosting organisation to and from the project locations
๐ถ โฌ270 per month covering food allowance and pocket money for personal needs and leisure
