🇸🇰 ESC Volunteering in Slovakia 🧒 Early English Kindergarten Volunteer at Hlavička — Teaching, Play and Community 🎵

A small, family-atmosphere kindergarten in the heart of Bratislava. English language activities. Educational games. Community events. And mornings filled with the energy of small children learning to be independent, respectful, and curious. Detské Centrum Hlavička is looking for an ESC volunteer to join their team for a full school year — teaching English, bringing fresh ideas, and becoming a genuine part of the Hlavička community.

🏫 About Hlavička

Hlavička is a small, warm kindergarten situated in a family house in Bratislava. It offers a family atmosphere where young children are taught independence, respect for friends and the environment — and it also welcomes children with mother tongues other than Slovak. The volunteer will be a real part of the daily life of this community.

📋 What You’ll Do

🇬🇧 Teach English — bringing language learning into daily activities and play

🎮 Organise educational activities and games directly with the children

💡 Bring new ideas to enrich the kindergarten’s programme

🏠 Help with the daily running of the kindergarten — including cleaning

🎉 Assist in organising community events

📋 Contribute to some administrative work

🤝 Cooperate on other activities with the kindergarten staff

🎁 What the Project Provides

🏠 Triple room in a brand new modern dormitory right in the city centre — 10-minute walk from Hlavička

💶 €380 per month covering pocket money, food, and local transport contribution

✈️ Travel arrangements to and from Bratislava according to the distance calculator

🍽️ Morning snack, lunch, coffee, and tea provided on working days at Hlavička

⏰ Working hours: 8:00–13:00 — afternoons and weekends free

🗣️ Compulsory Slovak language course, coaching sessions, and meetings

📚 Daily information from the field of preschool pedagogy and psychology

🎓 On-arrival and Mid-term training organised by the National Agency

🏛️ Orientation training provided by BDC (Bratislavské dobrovoľnícke centrum) the day after arrival

📜 Youthpass certificate at the end of the programme

👤 Who Should Apply

Hlavička is looking for someone who:

👧 Enjoys working with children and is ready to take on new challenges

🗣️ Has good communication skills in English

🔄 Is flexible and adaptable — working with children requires good adaptability to changes

🎨 Is creative, open, empathetic, and patient

🎵 Singing, dancing, or playing a musical instrument are warmly welcome

🎓 Education in childcare or experience with children is an advantage — but not necessary

💙 Participants with fewer opportunities are warmly welcomed

⚠️ The project covers the full school year (September 2026 – August 2027) — the candidate must be available for the full duration
