Thirty-five European Solidarity Corps placements are open for applications right now, spread across eighteen countries from Albania to Türkiye, and covering everything from bird conservation in Malta to disaster-preparedness training in Hungary. At Youth Works Hub, we pulled together every ESC opening we tracked this week so you can scan the full spread in one place: six placements close as soon as possible, five more close together on 27 September in Ghana, and the rest spread out through October. If you are still working out what the European Solidarity Corps actually is, this batch is a good cross-section of what "ESC volunteering" covers in practice, from kindergarten classrooms to butterfly-house media teams.
What stands out in this batch is the range of settings. There is coastal community work in Greece, disaster-resilience training in Türkiye and Hungary, a five-project cluster in Ghana covering financial literacy, monitoring and evaluation, vocational skills, artisan cooperatives and ICT education, plus smaller placements in Lithuania, Poland, Romania, France, Slovakia, Albania, Germany, Malta, Czechia, Spain, Bulgaria, Portugal and Togo. Whether you want to work with children, run social media for a conservation project, or support disaster-preparedness training, there is very likely a placement in this list that matches what you are looking for.
Funding is fully covered on every listing here, as is standard for ESC: travel is reimbursed by distance band, and accommodation, food, local transport, insurance, language support and monthly pocket money are all included. Thirty-five placements across eighteen countries is a wide net, and Youth Works Hub tracked deadlines from today through mid-October, so there is real room to plan rather than scramble. Six placements in this batch close as soon as possible, so if Czechia, Greece, Spain, Bulgaria or Romania catches your eye near the top of this list, do not wait on those. The heaviest single cluster sits in Ghana, where five separate ESC placements all close together on 27 September, covering financial literacy, monitoring and evaluation, vocational training, artisan cooperatives and ICT education, which makes it one of the largest single-country pushes we have tracked in a while.
If this is your first ESC application, register on the ESC Portal before you do anything else, since your profile there is what every project coordinator reviews. From there, match your own background and interests to a placement rather than applying broadly: a placement built around children's education wants a different motivation letter than one built around disaster-preparedness training or women's cooperative support. Whichever of these thirty-five fits, check its deadline against today's date and apply with enough time to actually finish a considered application, not a rushed one.
