Description
Join our organisation in Veliko Tarnovo and take part in a long-term volunteering experience focused on youth participation, community development and solidarity. The volunteer will support youth workshops, environmental initiatives, community campaigns, intercultural events and creative activities. Tasks may include helping organise events, creating digital and social media content, supporting communication with young people and participating in local actions such as clean-ups, upcycling and awareness campaigns. The activities will be adapted to the volunteer’s interests and abilities. The project offers an opportunity to develop communication, teamwork, organisational and digital skills while contributing to the local community.
Accommodation, food and transport arrangements
The volunteer will receive suitable accommodation in Veliko Tarnovo for the entire activity period. Food support and monthly pocket money will be provided in accordance with the rules of the European Solidarity Corps. Necessary local transport related to the volunteering activities will also be covered. The volunteer will receive practical support before arrival and throughout the activity.
Training during the activity
The volunteer will receive an introduction to the organisation, the project activities, safety procedures and the local community. Regular mentoring, individual support and reflection meetings will be provided throughout the activity. The volunteer will take part in the relevant European Solidarity Corps training cycle and will be supported in identifying learning outcomes and completing the Youthpass process.
Participant profile
We are looking for a motivated young person aged 18–30 and residing in Bulgaria. The ideal volunteer is open-minded, responsible and interested in youth work, community initiatives, environmental activities, digital communication and active citizenship. No previous professional experience is required. The most important qualities are motivation, willingness to learn, creativity and readiness to work with young people and as part of a team. Young people with fewer opportunities are encouraged to apply.
