🇵🇹#Portugal ESC Project – 📣 Participant Call
The “All4One 3” project in Portimão, Portugal, is a European Solidarity Corps volunteer initiative focused on fostering solidarity, supporting disadvantaged individuals, and increasing youth participation at both the local and regional levels. The project is coordinated by DOTS in partnership with the Municipality of Portimão and local civil society organizations.
The project encompasses two main aspects:
- Solidarity in Education: Volunteers will engage in recreational and pedagogical activities, creating workshops for individuals facing social challenges.
- Solidarity in Subsistence: Volunteers will participate in collecting, constructing baskets, preparing, and distributing food to the homeless and those in need.
The volunteer profile sought by the organization emphasizes personal motivation and interest in the proposed program over specific skills. While a basic level of English and Portuguese is desired, it is not mandatory, but it could be helpful for everyday needs.
The ability and willingness to work with people, as well as qualities like creativity, proactivity, and self-motivation, are valued.
The project will span 39 weeks, from October 1, 2023, to June 30, 2024, and will take place in Portimão, Portugal.
The opportunity is open to participants from Spain, Italy, and Portugal.
The activity focuses on social challenges, reception and integration of refugees and migrants, as well as health and wellbeing.
