🏡 About the Project

At Windrad Wilhelmshaven, four residential groups provide safe and caring homes for 10–12 children and youth with disabilities each.
The goal: helping them lead self-determined and independent lives.

Volunteers work alongside professional caregivers, assisting with daily life, learning activities, and recreation — bringing energy, empathy, and friendship into the residents’ everyday moments. 🇩🇪🤝

💬 What You Will Do

🧡 Assist staff in daily routines, leisure and therapeutic activities.
🧺 Support with light care, meal prep & household tasks.
🎨 Motivate children to join games, events & creative projects.
🚶 Accompany residents on walks, shopping & outings.
💪 Promote inclusion & social skills through empathy & encouragement.

Your mission is to help young people build confidence and life skills — while you, in turn, learn teamwork, patience, and intercultural understanding. 🌍✨

🏠 Accommodation & Benefits

🏡 You’ll live with seven other international volunteers in shared flats near the project.
🎟️ Monthly Deutschlandticket for free travel across Germany.
🍲 Meal allowance €333 + pocket money €217 per month.
🌅 30 days of vacation + 27 training seminar days.

💬 Free German language lessons and Youthpass certificate upon completion.

📚 Participation in ESC seminars & educational sessions with German volunteers.
🎓 Regular language classes and personal development coaching.

You’ll receive a Youthpass Certificate recognising your new skills in communication, care, and teamwork.

👥 Participant Profile

We’re looking for volunteers who are:
✅ Motivated to work with children and youth with disabilities.
✅ Responsible, open-minded and empathetic.
✅ Ready to live in a community and contribute to daily life.
✅ Interested in social care & learning new skills.
✅ Preferably with German knowledge (B1 level desired).
