🌟 About the Project

Join FOL 74 in Saint-Jeoire, France 🇫🇷 for an impactful European Solidarity Corps volunteering experience focused on inclusion, community building, sports, creativity, and socio-cultural activities with asylum seekers. Hosted at the CADA “Le Nid”, volunteers support a diverse environment where individuals and families seeking asylum receive daily support, guidance, and opportunities to participate in meaningful activities.

💬 What You Will Do

You will contribute to dynamic socio-cultural and sport-based activities, including:

• 🎭 Socio-cultural animation: anti-discrimination activities, mediation, event preparation
• 🎉 Organising entertainment, well-being workshops, cultural outings
• ⛷️ Sports activities based on your interests: snow sports, mountain activities, cycling, climbing
• 🏅 Participation in local sporting events and co-organising activities with partner organisations
• 🌿 Transversal tasks: vegetable garden creation, rest area development with unaccompanied minors
• 🧑‍🏫 Assisting workshops in refugee/asylum seeker training programmes

🏡 Accommodation, Food & Benefits

Volunteers are fully supported with:

• 🏠 Free accommodation (shared room with private bathroom & toilet)
• 🍽️ Three meals a day at the center
• 💶 Monthly pocket money: 224–248€
• 🥗 Additional 116€ monthly food allowance for periods when the canteen is closed
• 🚗 Use of the center’s vehicles (depending on availability)

🎓 Training & Learning Opportunities

Volunteers benefit from a rich training system:

• 🇫🇷 French language courses
• 🧭 Two national seminars with volunteers from across France
• 🎓 Opportunity to obtain the BAFA diploma (qualification for youth work)
• 🩹 First-aid training
• 🌍 Additional thematic trainings (international solidarity, sustainable project development, etc.)
