🇩🇪 Germany ESC Project – 📣 Participant Call
Montessori Schule Würzburg in Zell am Main, Germany, is seeking a volunteer for their Montessori school. The volunteer will assist in the daily school activities and experience the learning process based on Maria Montessori’s pedagogy. Students engage in free activities where they choose topics and skills to work on using available materials. Teachers act as tutors, supporting and guiding students as needed.
Accommodation is provided in a shared apartment with two other volunteers, located 5 km from Würzburg city center and 10 km from the school. The volunteer will have a single room, shared kitchen and bathroom. They will receive food money (around 288 EUR/month) and pocket money (6€/day) for daily expenses. A monthly public transport ticket will be given, and a school bike might be available.
The volunteer will attend compulsory seminars organized by the German National Agency upon arrival and at mid-term. They should be motivated to work with children aged 6 to 15, exhibit a positive attitude, flexibility, and openness to alternative teaching/learning methods. Proficiency in either German or English is necessary.
The project spans 46 weeks from September 11, 2023, to July 31, 2024. It is open to participants from various countries and focuses on citizenship and democratic participation, as well as education and training. The application deadline is August 31, 2023.
