🇷🇴 Romania ESC Project – 📣 Participant Call

The “Teaching and Care in After School Clubs 2.0” project by ASOCIATIA CARE2TRAVEL in Miercurea Ciuc, Romania, seeks a volunteer between 18 and 30 years old to join a group of 3 other volunteers for a long-term opportunity. The main role involves facilitating after-school club activities for children in nearby villages, focusing on “Participation in Democratic Life” topics. Through non-formal education and fun activities, volunteers will enhance children’s social and English language skills while raising awareness about democratic participation.

Accommodation includes furnished housing with gender-separated rooms, a kitchen, bathrooms, and Wi-Fi. Volunteers receive a monthly food budget of 150 EUR and a pocket money of 120 EUR. Local transportation is provided through bicycles, and international travel expenses are reimbursed as per the ESC Programme Guide.

Training will be provided upon arrival, covering cultural differences, city tours, mentor introductions, and participation in Romanian National Agency trainings. Hungarian or Romanian language support is available, and the use of General Online Training is encouraged.

The ideal volunteer should be motivated, flexible, responsible, and open-minded. They should possess communication and cooperation skills, a desire to contribute to society, and a willingness to step out of their comfort zone. Creativity, proactivity, and the ability to work within a team are valued.

The project spans 30 weeks from September 4, 2023, to April 3, 2024, and takes place in Miercurea Ciuc, Romania. It’s open to participants from various EU countries and focuses on social challenges, citizenship and democratic participation, education and training, as well as creativity and culture. The application deadline is August 29, 2023.
