Disaster preparedness. Climate change. Post-disaster recovery. Community resilience. These aren’t abstract topics โ they are urgent, practical, and deeply relevant to communities across Europe and beyond. Sorgun Genรงlik Derneฤi (SORGED) is offering an ESC team volunteering placement in Sorgun, Yozgat, Tรผrkiye as part of the “You Future”project โ bringing together 10 young volunteers for 30 days of training, community education, and action.
๐ฏ About the Project
The “You Future” project is an ESC team volunteering project supported by the European Commission. Volunteers receive training on disaster preparedness, climate change, post-disaster recovery, and community resilience โ and then go out into the community to share what they’ve learned through training sessions, campaigns, and events for local children, young people, and adults.
๐ What You’ll Do
๐ Receive training on disaster preparedness, climate change, post-disaster recovery, and community resilience
๐ ๏ธ Participate in workshops, seminars, field visits, and group activities
๐ฃ Organise training sessions, events, and campaigns for local children, young people, and adults
๐ Share knowledge with the community to raise public awareness
๐ค Contribute to building a more disaster-prepared and resilient local society
๐ฃ๏ธ Foster intercultural dialogue through shared action and learning
๐ What the Project Provides
๐ Shared apartment with double rooms, bathrooms, and shared kitchen โ equipped with kitchen utensils and internet access
๐ถ โฌ6 per day pocket money
๐ฝ๏ธ โฌ6 per day food allowance
โ๏ธ Travel costs reimbursed based on ESC travel rules
