What Will You Do as a Volunteer?
๐ฒ Become an active part of the community, caring for the village structure, its inhabitants, and the local surroundings
๐ง Support school camps, summer camps, environmental trainings, yoga retreats, and other guest programmes
๐ฑ Contribute to organic and permaculture gardening, foraging, and local plant knowledge
๐๏ธ Help with the cleaning, upkeep, low-budget construction, maintenance, and renovation of rural structures
โป๏ธ Learn and apply circular economy and closed-loop system principles in daily community life
๐ณ Assist with Sicilian recipe preparation and low-waste cooking for guests and community members
๐ Engage with local producers, explore natural areas, and connect with the local culture and community
Accommodation, Food & Travel
๐ก You will live in a 3-bedroom structure shared with other volunteers, with a maximum of 2 volunteers per room
๐ฟ A shared bathroom and kitchen are available, shared with guests and community members as needed
๐ก๏ธ There is no air conditioning โ heating in winter is provided by a wood stove
๐ฅ Meals are mainly vegetarian, local, seasonal, and organic, usually prepared by staff and shared with guests
๐ Staff purchase breakfast items and any additional food needed for volunteers on a weekly basis
๐ Volunteers are encouraged to arrive using green travel โ there is a bus stop 45 minutes on foot from the nearby village, connecting to the train station

Participant Profile

๐ง You are flexible, a good problem solver, and willing to do any kind of work even in challenging situations
๐พ Experience in practical work, cleaning, and gardening is a plus but not required
๐คฉ You are enthusiastic about what each day has to offer and eager to connect with local producers, nature, and community members
