An impactful ESC Volunteering opportunity in Cyprus π¨πΎ with βHOPE FOR CHILDRENβ CRC Policy Center, one of the leading child protection organisations in Europe.
This long-term volunteering project places young people directly inside the Research & Development Division, working on childrenβs rights, social justice, advocacy, research, and non-formal education at national and European level.
ποΈ Host Organisation
βHOPE FOR CHILDRENβ CRC Policy Center is an international humanitarian organisation based in Nicosia, Cyprus, dedicated to promoting and protecting the rights of children in line with the UN Convention on the Rights of the Child and EU law.
The organisation employs more than 110 professionals and operates shelters, research units, counselling centres, education programmes, and international advocacy initiatives across Europe and beyond.
π§© Volunteering Activities
π± Support daily work of the Research & Development Division
π Assist with desk and field research on childrenβs rights
π§ Contribute to EU-funded projects, research and advocacy initiatives
π¨ Support non-formal education workshops and awareness activities
π’ Help organise national and international campaigns, conferences and trainings
π€ Collaborate in a multidisciplinary, multicultural professional environment

Volunteering Period
β³ 12 months
π Starting in February 2026
β οΈ Applicants must be available to start in February 2026
πΆ Practical Arrangements
π Shared accommodation arranged by the host organisation
π½οΈ Food allowance: 180 β¬ per month
πΈ Pocket money: 7 β¬ per day
π Local transport allowance: 50 β¬ per month
βοΈ International travel reimbursed according to ESC distance bands
π Training and Support
π― On-arrival and mid-term training by the Cypriot National Agency
π§βπ« Task-specific training provided by HFC staff
π Online language support included
π€ Continuous mentoring and supervision throughout the activity
π€ Participant Profile
π Aged 20β30
π University degree in Political Science, International Relations, Sociology, Law, Education or related fields
π Comfortable working in a multicultural and international environment
π‘ Interest in childrenβs rights, social justice and vulnerable groups
π Interest or experience in research and project work (or strong motivation to learn)
π₯ Proactive, organised, ethical and motivated
π£οΈ Good knowledge of English (additional languages are an asset)
