Stranaidea Societร  Cooperativa Sociale Impresa Sociale ๐Ÿ‡ฎ๐Ÿ‡น and the Dรฉpartement du Calvados ๐Ÿ‡ซ๐Ÿ‡ท invite motivated volunteers to join a rich ESC experience in Caumont-sur-Aure, a peaceful rural area in the heart of Normandy.
This project combines environmental educationeco-citizenshipcultural activitiesintergenerational initiatives, and community involvement, offering an inspiring space for young volunteers who enjoy creativity, sustainability, and meaningful social impact. ๐ŸŒฑ๐Ÿ“š๐ŸŒ

As a volunteer, you will:
โœจ Create and facilitate cultural, sustainability and eco-citizenship activities
โœจ Strengthen intergenerational connections across the community
โœจ Promote language exchange and intercultural dialogue
โœจ Co-organise local events with schools and cultural centres
โœจ Support workshops at the local media library, youth centre, museum space and recreational centre
โœจ Work with children aged 3โ€“12 through creative and educational activities

This ESC experience blends rural life, cultural diversity and community learning โ€” ideal for volunteers who want to grow personally while contributing to a greener and more cohesive society. ๐ŸŒ๐Ÿ’ก๐Ÿ‘ฅ

Accommodation, Food & Transport

๐Ÿ›๏ธ The volunteer will have a private room in an apartment located inside the Caumont secondary school building, shared with an English language assistant.
๐Ÿฝ๏ธ Volunteers prepare their own meals; the school canteen provides free lunch on Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday and Friday.
๐Ÿšฒ A bicycle is provided for local transport between activity sites.
๐Ÿš— Car-pooling and bus connections are available for travel to nearby cities such as Caen or Vire.

Participant Profile

We are looking for a volunteer who is:
๐ŸŒŸ Curious, independent, social and creative
๐ŸŒฟ Interested in sustainability and eco-friendly practices
๐Ÿค Appreciative of intergenerational interaction and intercultural exchange
๐Ÿก Comfortable living in a small rural town
๐Ÿ’ฌ French is not required but considered an advantage
