๐ About the Training
This five-day Erasmus+ Training Course in Lahti, Finland ๐ซ๐ฎ invites youth workers, volunteers, multipliers and Naturefriends to explore how different generations can work, learn and grow together. Organised by International Young Naturefriends (IYNF), the programme focuses on building stronger, more inclusive communities by transforming generational differences into opportunities for shared learning. Participants will experience outdoor activities, non-formal learning and hands-on group tasks designed to strengthen intergenerational cooperation in their local organisations.
๐ฑโ๏ธ Main Objectives & Learning Approach
Over the course of five days, participants will:
โจ Reflect on generational identities, experiences and communication styles
๐ค Practice conflict navigation and collaboration in mixed-age groups
๐ฟ Engage in outdoor experiential learning
๐จ Try practical methods that can be used in local youth work settings
๐ ๏ธ Design small community actions and micro-projects
๐ Co-create a simple guideline for intergenerational cooperation
Participants are encouraged to return home as multipliers, bringing new ideas and tools to their communities, organisations and Naturefriends groups.

Ideal participants include:
๐ Young people (16+) active in youth organisations
๐ค Youth workers, youth leaders, trainers, mentors and volunteers
๐ Naturefriends members interested in community building
๐ Practitioners of non-formal education
No previous experience is neededโonly curiosity, openness and willingness to participate in group and outdoor activities.
