🌟 About the Opportunity

This ESC volunteering opportunity in Trstená, Slovakia 🇸🇰 is hosted by VIAC – Institute for Youth Support and Development, a Christian Catholic NGO working with young people through education, creativity, personal development and community-building activities. The organisation is seeking volunteers who have a positive attitude toward Christian values, are open to spiritual growth, and are willing to engage in meaningful activities with teenagers, youth groups and community members.

🎨📸 Main Activities

Volunteers will support the organisation in various creative, social and community-oriented tasks such as:
✨ Creating posters, videos, visual materials and social media content
🙌 Assisting youth activities, workshops and community gatherings
🎤 Supporting teenagers through non-formal learning
📚 Helping prepare events, programs, and educational initiatives
🌍 Sharing cultural background, values and life experiences
🙏 Participating in the daily life of a Catholic youth community (open-minded volunteers welcome)

🏡 Accommodation, Food & Transport

Volunteers will live either in Trstená or Tvrdošín 🇸🇰, in shared or individual flats provided by the organisation.
Accommodation includes:
🏠 A fully equipped flat
🥗 Lunch available at the organisation, with additional food money provided
💸 Pocket money + food allowance according to ESC rules
✈️ Travel reimbursement based on Erasmus+ distance band
Overall daily needs are covered, and volunteers have access to local community, nature, and small-town life.

🎓 Training & Support

Volunteers receive:
👋 Onboarding and orientation training by VIAC
📘 Official ESC On-Arrival Training
📙 ESC Mid-Term Training
🧭 Continuous support from youth workers and mentors throughout the year

👤 Participant Profile

This project welcomes applicants who:
🤝 Are between 18–30 years old
🙏 Preferably have a positive attitude toward Christianity (but all open-minded candidates are welcome)
🎨 Have creative skills — design, video, media, communication (highly appreciated)
💬 Can communicate in English
👦 Enjoy working with young people and teenagers
🌍 Want to grow personally and spiritually in a community setting
