๐Ÿงฉ Project Overview
This European Solidarity Corps individual volunteering project is implemented by Stichting Ecosystem Restoration Foundation, in cooperation with AJEVES, and takes place in Danyi Apรฉyรฉmรฉ, Commune de Danyi 1, Togo ๐Ÿ‡น๐Ÿ‡ฌ.
The project focuses on womenโ€™s empowerment, community engagement, and sustainable rural livelihoods, offering volunteers a deeply immersive experience in local development, gender equality, and cultural exchange.

Volunteers actively support womenโ€™s groups and local communities by contributing to practical initiatives that strengthen economic resilience, environmental sustainability, and public health awareness, while fully integrating into everyday village life.

๐ŸŒฑ Main Activities & Daily Engagement
Volunteers will be involved in a wide range of meaningful, hands-on activities, including:

  • ๐Ÿ‘ฉ๐Ÿพโ€๐ŸŒพ Supportingย womenโ€™s empowerment initiativesย and local womenโ€™s groups
  • ๐ŸŒฟ Participating inย regenerative agriculture & basic permacultureย practices
  • ๐Ÿ Assisting withย beekeeping activitiesย and sustainable food production
  • ๐Ÿ’ฐ Supportingย small-scale financial literacy and livelihood skills
  • ๐Ÿšฐ Contributing toย WASH activitiesย (Water, Sanitation and Hygiene), including hygiene awareness, safe water practices, and waste management
  • ๐Ÿซ Visitingย schools, health centres, and community hubs
  • ๐ŸŽญ Taking part inย community events, traditional ceremonies, and cultural activities
  • ๐Ÿค Engaging withย local stakeholders and community leaders

โฐ Working hours are generally 08:00โ€“12:00 and 14:30โ€“17:30, with flexibility required to adapt to community needs and events.

๐Ÿ  Accommodation, Food & Local Transport

  • ๐Ÿก Accommodation inย safe shared flatsย (single rooms may be available but are not guaranteed)
  • ๐Ÿšฟ Basic amenities provided, including electricity, running water, and internet via SIM card
  • ๐Ÿฝ๏ธย Meals fully provided, based on healthy and balanced local cuisine (dietary needs can be communicated in advance)
  • ๐Ÿšถ Most activities are within walking distance
  • ๐Ÿ›ต Local transport (taxis and moto-taxis) arranged when needed, withย helmets provided
  • ๐Ÿ›๏ธ Cultural visits, traditional events, and local market trips included as part of the experience

Volunteers receive structured and continuous support throughout their stay:

  • ๐ŸŒฑ Introductory training onย health & sanitation, regenerative agriculture, and beekeeping
  • ๐Ÿ› ๏ธ Strong emphasis onย practical, hands-on learning
  • โณ Training period typically lastsย 1โ€“2 weeks
  • ๐Ÿค Ongoing mentoring byย AJEVES staff
  • ๐Ÿฅย Free psychosocial supportย available at the local hospital

This opportunity is ideal for volunteers who:
