🌟 About the Opportunity

This ESC volunteering project in Montdidier, France 🇫🇷 is hosted by Fondation Apprentis d’Auteuil, an organisation with over 200 youth centres supporting more than 40,000 disadvantaged young people and families across the country. The project focuses on strengthening family bonds, supporting young people in difficulty, and helping parents and children engage in learning, creativity, and community life.

🧒👨‍👩‍👧 Main Activities

Volunteers will take part in meaningful, community-based activities such as:
🎨 Organising creative and educational workshops (environment, ecology, digital skills, food, wellbeing)
🧩 Running games, awareness sessions, and intercultural activities
🌱 Supporting children and families in extracurricular learning and leisure activities
🤝 Assisting with community integration initiatives
💬 Helping create a friendly, welcoming, and safe space for families to meet and connect
🏫 Working alongside social workers and educators to support local youth and parents

🏡 Accommodation, Food & Transport

Volunteers will be hosted directly in Montdidier, a peaceful rural town of 6,000 people in northern France 🇫🇷.
Accommodation options include:
🏠 Furnished studio for independent living
🏘️ Shared house (family or intergenerational)
Transport support includes:
🚆 Allowance for local transport pass
🚗 A car may be made available during leisure time
Amiens can be reached in 40 minutes by train from Montdidier.

🎓 Training & Learning Support

📚 Two official ESC seminars by the French National Agency
💻 OLS online French language learning
🧭 Internal training such as “How to animate citizenship and solidarity education activities”
