Are you passionate about education, creativity, and working with children? 👧🌱
Join École des Petits Chemins, a unique alternative school in rural Belgium that combines nature-based learning with creative pedagogies tailored to each child’s personality.
As a volunteer, you’ll become part of an inspiring environment where kids learn through exploration, art, and outdoor play. Your mission? To help them discover, grow, and smile every day — while you experience an enriching personal and cultural journey in the Belgian countryside. 🇧🇪
🎯 Main Activities
👩🏫 Support teachers in daily classroom routines (ages 2.5–11)
🎨 Join or lead creative workshops – painting, storytelling, singing, modeling clay, weaving, etc.
🌳 Participate in outdoor education – nature walks, farm visits, forest playtime
🤝 Help with morning welcomes, meals, and recess supervision
💡 Develop your own personal project with children after the first project phase
This project combines art, sustainability, and early education — giving you the chance to learn by doing while nurturing creativity and empathy.
🏡 Accommodation, Food & Support
🏠 Volunteers share a fully equipped house in Rochefort with other international participants.
🚍 Free transport is provided between the house and school.
🍽️ Food allowance and monthly pocket money included.
💬 Participation is free of charge; travel reimbursement follows ESC rules.
🌍 Live, learn, and grow together in a friendly, nature-surrounded community.

👥 Participant Profile
We’re looking for motivated volunteers aged 18–30 who are:
✅ Friendly, patient, and caring with young children
✅ Enthusiastic about creative and outdoor education
✅ Ready to embrace life in a small rural community
✅ Willing to learn French and practice daily
✅ Open-minded, collaborative, and proactive
A certificate of good conduct will be required before participation.
