🌍 About the Project
Step into the heart of Liège, Belgium, and become part of Le Beau Mur — a vibrant community hub where democracy, sustainability, and creativity come together!
For over 30 years, Le Centre Liégeois du Beau-Mur has provided an open space for local citizens and organizations working on social innovation, civic engagement, and environmental awareness.
As an ESC volunteer, you’ll help connect people, ideas, and initiatives that aim to make the world fairer and greener. You’ll support communication activities, contribute to civic projects, and join actions promoting a sustainable and inclusive society.
🎯 Main Activities
💻 Communication & Design – Support the organization’s social media, create visuals, and share stories from the community.
🌿 Civic & Environmental Activities – Join greening actions, cooking workshops, and community events promoting sustainability.
🗣️ Networking & Collaboration – Help strengthen links among the organizations hosted at Beau Mur.
🎨 Creative Contribution – Propose and implement your own ideas for events, outreach, or art-based initiatives.
This project blends creativity, community engagement, and ecological awareness, offering an inspiring environment to learn and grow.
🏡 Accommodation, Food & Transport
🏠 You’ll live in a shared house in Liège, with your own private room and shared kitchen, bathroom, and living space.
🍽 You’ll receive a monthly food allowance and pocket money to cook independently.
🚶♀️ The venue is within walking distance, and transportation costs related to project activities are covered.
🎓 Training & Learning Opportunities
📘 French language classes provided by the host organization.
🎯 Summer camp leadership training organized by CBB.
🤝 Participation in 3 residential volunteer events and 2 National Agency seminars.
You’ll gain hands-on experience in project communication, community building, and intercultural teamwork.
👥 Participant Profile
We’re looking for motivated young people (18–30 years old) who are:
✅ Open-minded, curious, and eager to learn
✅ Interested in communication, social media, and group facilitation
✅ Willing to learn French and immerse in local culture
✅ Passionate about civic engagement, sustainability, and community work
No diploma, nationality, or professional background limits your chance — all motivated applicants are welcome!
