🌱 About Dodo ry: Dodo, founded in 1995, is a Finnish environmental organization committed to addressing environmental issues in society with a comprehensive approach. Operating in areas such as urban gardening, urban planning, climate action, and global development, Dodo seeks to make a meaningful impact on environmental challenges.
🌳 Volunteer Tasks: As an ESC volunteer with Dodo, you’ll play a crucial role in supporting the organization’s initiatives. Your tasks may include:
- Urban gardening activities
- Communications tasks
- Event planning and organization
- Office maintenance
- Participation in Dodo’s Erasmus+ project GREEN
- Involvement in camp preparations, communications, study circles, and planning meetings
🏠 Accommodation, Food, and Transport:
- Shared accommodation in Helsinki with a private room
- Food allowance to cover grocery expenses
- Reimbursement for public transportation tickets
👥 Participant Profile: Dodo is looking for a motivated and self-driven volunteer with the following attributes:
- Good communication skills
- Co-operative and works well in teams
- Interest in Dodo’s diverse activities
- Intermediate to upper-intermediate level of English
- Motivated to learn, adapt, and propose ideas
- Ability to take initiative and work independently
- Openness to discovering other cultures and ways of doing things
- Desire to actively participate, show enthusiasm, and get involved
