At Youth Works Hub, we read all 16 of these European Solidarity Corps listings in full before putting them together, and every one of them is worth applying for before 30 September 2026. The batch covers nine countries, from Italy, Greece and Belgium to Morocco, and it is aimed at young people aged 18 to 30, with the Morocco placement open up to 35. Seven of the 16 have no fixed deadline, which means hosts review applications as they arrive and can close them as soon as they find their volunteers. A few placements stand out. In Morocco, two volunteers will spend at least eight months supporting children affected by the earthquake in Jerada and the Al Haouz region, a Humanitarian Aid Volunteering placement with €500 a month in pocket money. At the LIPU Massaciuccoli Oasis in Tuscany, volunteers monitor birds and build observatories in a nature reserve between Lucca, Pisa and Viareggio. Music Fund in Belgium, which uses music to build social projects for young people, offers a full year in its instrument workshop and warehouse starting in February 2027. MERU in the Netherlands places volunteers on a meditation campus inside De Meinweg National Park, with free organic vegetarian meals. Gramigna in southern Italy runs a two-month autumn project built around the olive harvest. The leisure-time centre in Vratimov, Czechia, is open to applicants from 62 countries, the widest eligibility in this batch. InfinityGreece offers a full year in a Thessaloniki youth centre working on digital media, and a host in Craiova, Romania, is looking for volunteers to record and edit a podcast on inclusion.
The batch leans towards children and education, with kindergartens, schools and youth centres in Poland, Romania, Italy and Czechia, alongside environmental projects in Sicily, Tuscany and Reims. Eligibility varies more than usual: two Italian placements are open to only eight or nine countries, the training in Cornus, France, is open only to young people from Portugal, and the Morocco placement requires the Humanitarian Aid Volunteering training. It is worth checking what the ESC grant actually covers against each host's own arrangement before you apply.
Funding
Every placement here runs under the European Solidarity Corps, where accommodation, food or a food allowance, pocket money, insurance and travel within the ESC distance bands are funded through the programme. According to Youth Works Hub's review of the 16 listings, the stated amounts vary by host: Morocco pays €500 a month in pocket money and €10 a day for food, Poland pays €180 a month in pocket money and €150 for food, and four Italian hosts pay €6 a day in pocket money. One host differs from the standard arrangement: CREPS in Reims includes breakfast, while lunch and dinner are available on site at reasonable prices. Deadlines cluster tightly, with seven placements open until filled, one closing on 27 September, one on 28 September, one on 29 September and six on 30 September.

In Craiova, volunteers record, edit and promote a podcast on inclusion, researching the topics that matter to young people with fewer opportunities and presenting role models who have faced different barriers. The 25-week project runs within the period from 1 November 2026 to 29 April 2027, with shared apartments, a monthly local transport pass, a €180 monthly food allowance, €4 a day in pocket money and Romanian language classes. Fluent English and experience in filming, editing, photography, social media or podcasting are expected, and applicants must not have done a long-term EVS or ESC placement before.
2. 🇫🇷 ESC Volunteering in France ♻️ Sustainable Development at a Public Sports Facility 🏅

CREPS in Reims, a public centre for sport, youth and popular education 40 minutes from Paris by TGV, is looking for a volunteer to support its sustainability work: environmental awareness, waste reduction, clothing reuse, sustainable food and its educational garden, guided by two mentors. The project runs from 15 October 2026 to 30 May 2027, with a private room and breakfast included, while lunch and dinner are available on site at reasonable prices rather than covered. A beginner's level of French is accepted if you are keen to learn.
3. 🇷🇴 ESC Volunteering in Romania 🧒 Social Inclusion and Non Formal Education for Children 🎨

Voluntariatul Pentru Toți, an NGO founded in 2012 by youth workers, teachers and volunteers, hosts volunteers in Reșița for 6 to 12 months to run creative workshops, sports and arts activities for children in nurseries, kindergartens and primary schools, with further work in high schools and centres for adults with disabilities. The package includes a shared apartment, a €150 monthly food allowance, €120 pocket money, a local transport pass, a Romanian course, Henner health insurance and a personal mentor. The project is open to 18 to 30 year olds, and an A2 level of English is enough to apply.
4. 🇵🇱 ESC Volunteering in Poland 🧸 Intercultural Education at a Municipal Kindergarten 🌍

Municipal Kindergarten No. 4 in Pułtusk, a town of 19,000 about 60 km north of Warsaw, brings volunteers into daily life with children aged 3 to 6, assisting teachers and running workshops that introduce their own language and culture, mostly teaching English through games. The start date is flexible, the activity runs from 1 October 2026 to 22 August 2027, and volunteers get a shared flat, €150 a month for food, €180 a month in pocket money and travel reimbursement of up to €211, €309 or €395 depending on distance. Prior experience with kindergartens, teaching or children's camps is part of the profile.
5. 🇷🇴 ESC Volunteering in Romania 🏫 School Workshops for Inclusion and Active Citizenship 🤝

In Craiova, volunteers join local and international peers to lead interactive workshops in schools on inclusion and active citizenship, collaborate with local NGOs and community groups and help organise public events. The project provides shared accommodation with two people per room, a €180 monthly food allowance, €4 a day in pocket money and a monthly local transport pass. It is open to 18 to 30 year olds with medium-level English, and applicants must not have completed a long-term EVS or ESC before.
6. 🇨🇿 ESC Volunteering in Czechia 🎬 Youth Work and Creative Media at a Leisure Time Center 🏕️

Domeček, a leisure-time centre in Vratimov 15 minutes from Ostrava, is looking for two volunteers to help with after-school clubs, holiday camps, intergenerational workshops with seniors, community events such as a traditional lantern parade, and photos and short videos for social media. Accommodation and international health insurance are fully covered, with a monthly allowance and pocket money under ESC rules and Czech lessons through Online Language Support. No teaching background is needed, but a clean criminal record check from your home country is mandatorybecause the role involves working with children.
7. 🇲🇦 ESC Volunteering in Morocco 🧒 Supporting Children Affected by the Earthquake 🤝

STARRY is looking for two volunteers for at least eight months in Jerada and the Al Haouz region, supporting children affected by the earthquake through creative, educational and play-based activities in schools and communities. Volunteers get a private room in a shared apartment, local transport to activity sites provided by ISAAF, €10 a day for food and €500 a month in pocket money, with travel covered under ESC rules. This is a Humanitarian Aid Volunteering placement: candidates must be 18 to 35, live in an eligible country and have completed the compulsory Humanitarian Aid Volunteering training.
8. 🇫🇷 ESC Volunteering in France 🎨 Media and Art to Counter Migration Stereotypes 🧳

Du Grain à Moudre runs a seven-day training in Cornus, in the south of France, between 7 and 15 November 2026, on migration policies, migration journeys and how media can be used to counter stereotypes, bringing together 26 participants from six sending organisations. Accommodation and food are included and travel is reimbursed up to €309, with no previous experience and only basic English needed. Only young people aged 18 to 30 from Portugal can apply.
9. 🇳🇱 ESC Volunteering in the Netherlands 🧘 Campus Life at a Transcendental Meditation Community 🌿

MERU, a campus in Vlodrop inside De Meinweg National Park, hosts courses and retreats for the global Transcendental Meditation community, and volunteers support dining services, housing and the garden alongside a community of around 200 people. The placement runs from 1 October 2026 to 31 January 2027 with on-campus accommodation, free organic vegetarian lunch and dinner, a bicycle and a four-day Transcendental Meditation course. Applicants should have an affinity for meditation and must already have an accredited sending organisation.
10. 🇮🇹 ESC Volunteering in Italy 🧒 Intercultural Social Animation With Children and Teenagers 🎨

Il Ce.Sto, active since 1987 in the historic centre of Genoa, works with children and teenagers from many backgrounds, and the volunteer runs games, workshops, sports, afterschool tutoring and cultural events at its social centre. The project runs from 30 September to 31 December 2026 with a shared apartment, €6 a day in pocket money, food or a food allowance, and travel reimbursed under European Commission rules. The required age is 20, and applicants should be available for the whole duration and ready for a delicate role with young people who often come from complex family situations.
11. 🇧🇪 ESC Volunteering in Belgium 🎻 Music for Social Projects and Instrument Workshops 🎶

Music Fund, a Belgian non-profit that uses music to build social projects for young people in Belgium and in conflict zones, hosts one ESC volunteer a year at its centre in Marche-en-Famenne to help in the instrument workshop and warehouse, with administration, logistics and events. The placement runs for a full year from 1 February 2027 to 31 January 2028, with a private room in a shared house with six other ESC volunteers, a monthly food allowance and pocket money. Basic musical education is welcome but not compulsory, and volunteers are encouraged to build a personal project inside the organisation.
12. 🇮🇹 ESC Volunteering in Italy 🌲 Sustainability and Environmental Education in the Forest 🌱

The Serra Guarneri Centre for Environmental Education, run by the Palma Nana cooperative in a small hamlet in the Madonie forest near Cefalù in Sicily, involves volunteers in sustainable tourism, environmental education for school students and work in the ecological garden. The project runs from 8 January to 8 August 2027 with shared rooms, shared meals, €6 a day in pocket money, transport on free days and an Italian course with a certified teacher. A high level of English is not required, but only applicants from Belgium, France, Germany, Greece, Malta, the Netherlands, Poland, Portugal and Spain can apply.
13. 🇬🇷 ESC Volunteering in Greece 📸 Youth Center Digital Media and Community Engagement 💡

InfinityGreece's Community+ project in Thessaloniki places two volunteers in its youth centre from 10 October 2026 to 9 October 2027, working on content creation, social media, photography and video, events, workshops and community projects. Volunteers get an individual furnished room in the city centre, a monthly food allowance and pocket money under ESC rules, a public transport pass and regular mentoring. No professional experience is needed, and young people with fewer opportunities are particularly welcome.
14. 🇮🇹 ESC Volunteering in Italy 🗣️ Young Voices for Inclusive Communities 🤝

In the historic centre of Palermo, four volunteers join community-based activities promoting social and environmental justice, supporting educational and social initiatives for young people and bringing in their own ideas. The project runs from 8 January to 8 June 2027 with shared rooms in an apartment, food vouchers, €6 a day in pocket money, a bus ticket, an Italian course and training in Rome with the Italian National Agency. Only applicants from Belgium, France, Germany, Greece, Luxembourg, the Netherlands, Portugal and Spain can apply.
15. 🇮🇹 ESC Volunteering in Italy 🫒 Olive Harvest Rural Life and Digital Communication 📱

Gramigna APS, an NGO in the village of Torrecuso in southern Italy, runs this short autumn project from 10 October to 11 December 2026, combining the olive harvest and olive oil making with social media, content creation and workshops for middle school students. Volunteers share an apartment, receive €360 a month in pocket money and food allowance combined, and have travel reimbursed up to the ESC distance calculator limit. The project is for volunteers aged 20 to 30 who are ready for rural life with limited public transport.
16. 🇮🇹 ESC Volunteering in Italy 🐦 Birdwatching and Biodiversity Protection in a Nature Oasis 🌾

The LIPU Massaciuccoli Oasis in Tuscany, a nature reserve between Lucca, Pisa and Viareggio, needs volunteers for bird monitoring, habitat conservation, wildlife care, environmental education and building bird observatories and wooden trails. The project runs from 26 October 2026 to 28 February 2027, with the possibility of extending to May 2027, in a guesthouse where food ingredients are provided for shared cooking and pocket money is €6 a day. Expect an isolated rural setting, outdoor work in all weather and bedrooms shared with volunteers of different genders.
If you want to work outdoors, the strongest options are the bird monitoring and trail building at the LIPU Massaciuccoli Oasis, the forest centre at Serra Guarneri in Sicily and the olive harvest in Torrecuso. If you would rather work with children, look at the kindergarten in Pułtusk, the children's projects in Reșița and Genoa, the leisure-time centre in Vratimov and the earthquake response in Morocco. For creative and digital roles, the podcast in Craiova, the Community+ youth centre in Thessaloniki and the social media work in Torrecuso all build a portfolio you can show later. Belgium and the Netherlands offer something different again: an instrument workshop in Marche-en-Famenne and a meditation campus in Vlodrop. Pocket money ranges from €4 a day in Craiova to €500 a month in Morocco, and how much pocket money ESC volunteers receive depends on the official rate for each host country.
Timing matters in this batch. The Cornus training closes on 27 September, MERU on 28 September, Genoa on 29 September and six more on 30 September, including four in Italy, Music Fund in Belgium and InfinityGreece. The seven placements without a fixed deadline, in Romania, France, Poland, Czechia and Morocco, can close as soon as their hosts find volunteers. Check the eligible countries on each listing before you start, because several are narrower than the usual ESC list, and avoid the most common ESC application mistakes when you prepare your application.
