Description

MERU is a unique campus in The Netherlands offering courses, retreats and events for the global Transcendental Meditation community ( www.meru.international ) Our mission is to share the timeless knowledge of consciousness and its applications for a healthy, vibrant, and peaceful society. By participating in our volunteer program you are contributing to our community of around 200 people working at our campus in the heart of the beautiful Dutch National Park De Meinweg. Volunteers take part in dining services, housing, garden and other areas. You will also learn the Transcendental Meditation in a four-day course thought by a certified teacher. It's an easy and effortless technique that we all practice at MERU, twice a day for 20 minutes, offering profound benefits for mind and body and it's a very effective tool to develop your own full inner and outer potential (About TM go to: www.tm.org) Interested? MERU offers high-quality accommodations in the Academy and Residence Building on campus, designed with Maharishi Vastu principles. Shared housing in nearby villages with daily transportation may be also possible. The MERU Campus is located within the Dutch National Park De Meinweg, a 7-minute drive or 14-minute bike ride from the nearest bus station. Daily shuttles connect campus residents to the bus station, and volunteers are also provided with a bicycle. Freshly prepared organic vegetarian meals are served on campus at lunch and dinner, free of charge.

Training during the activity

MERU organizes various programs to help volunteers deepen their knowledge of Transcendental Meditation and integrate meditation into daily life. Volunteers are also encouraged to develop new skills across a range of areas (professional, social, language, and more) through workshops and on-site training. To support this, each volunteer is assigned a mentor who provides guidance for self-directed learning and looks after their general well-being.
