If you work with young people, this batch was made for you. Six Erasmus+ opportunities for youth workers, educators and NGO staff are open right now, spanning Austria, Italy and Portugal, plus one free online series you can join from anywhere. Five are in-person, fully funded Training Courses, where Erasmus+ covers your travel, accommodation and meals, so the cost of showing up is not what stands between you and a week of intensive professional development. These are exactly the kind of youth worker mobility that turns instinct into method: you leave with concrete tools, a wider European network, and a Youthpass to show for it. The themes are some of the most in-demand skills in the sector right now. There is a coaching and mentoring academy in Vienna where you practise GROW, OSCAR and solution-focused coaching. There are two art-based courses in rural Italy testing creativity and non-formal methods with young people. There are two Portuguese courses on youth participation and local democracy, from facilitating dialogue to bringing young voices into municipal decisions. And there is a six-part online webinar series on emotional wellbeing, built for youth workers who want to support others without burning out themselves.
Whatever corner of youth work you are in, there is a fit here. Drawn to one-to-one support and personal development? The Vienna coaching academy is your course. More of a creative, hands-on facilitator? The two Italian art-based courses put a toolkit in your hands in a rural farmstead near Caserta. Focused on civic engagement, democracy and participation? The two Portuguese courses are built around exactly that. Running on empty and needing to refill your own cup first? The free wellbeing webinar series meets you where you are. A quick note on funding so there are no surprises: the five in-person courses are fully funded through Erasmus+ as described in the listings, and if you want the full picture of what Erasmus+ actually covers it is worth a read; the online webinar series is free to join but is remote, so there is no travel or accommodation involved. The deadlines are the pressure point: one closes today, three close on 31 August, and the rest in early September, so if a course speaks to you, apply now.

Six ways to grow as a youth worker before the summer is out, five of them fully funded and one completely free. If you scrolled this far, one of them already fits: the coaching and mentoring academy for those who work one-to-one, the two art-based courses in Italy for creative facilitators, the two Portuguese courses for anyone focused on participation and local democracy, and the wellbeing webinar for those who need to refill their own cup first. Two things will shape your choice: format and timing. Decide whether you want an intensive week abroad with travel and meals covered, or a flexible online series you can follow from home. Then look hard at the dates, because this list is ordered soonest-first for a reason: the Vienna course closes today, three courses close on 31 August, and the last two in early September. Selection for Training Courses is competitive, so a specific, well-prepared application matters. If you want to give yourself the best shot, it is worth reviewing how to prepare a strong Erasmus+ application before you hit submit. Do one concrete thing today: pick the course that fits you, open its link, check the dates, and apply. And if you want opportunities like these to reach you the moment they open, rather than scrolling dozens at once, join our broadcast channel through the link in our bio, where we share every new batch first.
