❗️What Is This Training About?
Civis Lab is an Erasmus+ activity focused on strengthening socio-educational animators as facilitators of youth civic and democratic participation.
🏘️ How Erasmus+ youth projects create lasting change in local communities. The impact of Erasmus+ goes far beyond the individuals who participate. Local communities, host organisations, and even entire neighbourhoods are shaped by the projects that take place within them. This article explores the broader social impact of Erasmus+ youth exchanges — from building intercultural understanding to empowering grassroots organisations — and makes a compelling case for why these projects matter beyond the personal level. 👉 https://youthworkshub.org/3595/
ℹ️ Description About The Opportunity
By equipping youth workers and organisations with inclusive, accessible, meaningful, and sustainable participation tools, Civis Lab builds capacity across Europe. The project brings together educators, youth workers, and community leaders to co-develop practical resources that can be replicated and adapted in diverse local contexts.
Objetives:
- Promote inclusion of young people with fewer opportunities in rural, disadvantaged, or culturally diverse contexts. Stimulate active and democratic citizenship among young people through meaningful engagement and empowerment.
- Strengthen participating organisations and build a lasting European network. Ensure the sustainability and replicability of methodologies so impact continues beyond the project's duration.
- Train socio-educational youth workers in innovative participation methodologies through training sessions, job shadowing, and hands-on workshops.
- Test and validate new youth engagement approaches through pilot activities implemented in partner countries.
- Strengthen youth workers' core skills: dialogue facilitation, active listening, conflict mediation, group management, and critical thinking stimulation.
- Create practical tools: a digital methodological toolkit with participatory activities, step-by-step guides, and real-world examples.
