CET Platform Italy is hosting a mobility within a KA220 project, granted by the Italian National Agency and funded by the Erasmus+ programme, gathering 24 participants from 3 partner NGOs for an onsite testing experience for youth workers and young people. This training represents the middle phase of a long-term project, where the practical application and effectiveness of the developed outputs will be tested, addressed to both youth workers and young people.

Project Concept

The project is driven by the shared recognition among the partners of the transformative power of art and creativity in youth work and for youth development. By strengthening the capacities of youth workers to successfully engage with young people and provide them with meaningful experiences, the project seeks to build a robust foundation to address the diverse needs and challenges faced by young people today. By directly engaging young people through the implementation of innovative methodologies and activities, the project aims to empower them to become active agents of their own development and contributors to a better society. Through the creation of inclusive spaces for artistic and creative expression, the project will foster continuous learning and professional growth within the field of youth work.

Main Objectives

๐ŸŽฏ Enhance youth workers' and partner NGOs' capacities to effectively nurture young people's emotional and creative growth

๐Ÿงฐ Equip youth workers with art-based resources and methods to support the creative potential of young people

โœŠ Empower young people to use their critical thinking to contribute to positive social change through artistic expression

๐Ÿค Engage young people in creative processes that contribute to personal development, civic participation and community building

Through different non-formal education methodologies and the concrete development of outputs, notably a toolkit on creative thinking and a guide for creative spaces, youth workers will learn how to facilitate activities and shape environments that empower young people to explore art and social change.

Mobility Concept

It is a 6-day residential event in Italy, gathering 24 participants, 12 youth workers and 12 young people (plus 2 trainers) from Italy, Greece and Portugal. Designed as a concrete opportunity for experiential learning, it will represent a testing ground to practice the application and effectiveness of the developed outputs (toolkit on creative thinking and guide for creative spaces) in real-world scenarios. It will provide specific training for both youth workers and youth leaders/volunteers, as well as competence development, empowerment and capacity building through art and creativity. The onsite testing will be important to validate the effectiveness and usability of the developed outputs by incorporating the needs and feedback of participants, guaranteeing a balanced and dynamic learning environment where professional insights and youthful perspectives can enrich the final materials.

Venue, Food and Accommodation

๐Ÿ“ Venue: Masseria Cardilli in Presenzano (province of Caserta), Italy, a charming agritourism destination set in Italy's beautiful countryside. This farmstay offers an authentic experience of rural Italian life and hospitality, is home to various animals and produces local delicacies like buffalo mozzarella, and has wide external spaces for activities and relaxing during free time.

๐Ÿ›๏ธ Accommodation: same-gender rooms for three people, equipped with private bathrooms, bed linen and towels. Although the team aims for individual beds, some rooms may have double beds and sharing may occur, so preferences for roommates must be communicated in advance.

๐Ÿ Food: three meals per day plus two coffee breaks during the morning and afternoon sessions. As you will be hosted in Italy, meals follow the traditional Italian style with pasta, locally sourced meat, cheeses, mozzarella, and fresh vegetables. Breakfast is typically sweet in Italian culture, and at the masseria the host lovingly prepares homemade cakes and pies. If you prefer a savory breakfast, you are welcome to bring your own items to have alongside.
