Something is not working about the way we live. Most people feel it. This project is for those who want to do something about it โ even if just for three weeks, even if just to test what alternatives actually feel like in real life.
Mindenegyรผttmegy Egyesรผlet is hosting a group ESC volunteering project at the Habitat Hub โ a rural living lab in Hungary exploring what the future of villages could look like. Fifteen young volunteers aged 18 to 30 will spend three weeks learning straw bale construction techniques while living communally, growing food, and rethinking how we relate to energy, water, and each other.
What Is This Role About?
The centrepiece of the project is the renovation of an old barn using straw bale construction โ a hands-on, real-life learning experience that sits at the heart of what Habitat Hub is about. This is a living lab: theory and practice are not separated. You build. You grow food. You organise as a community. And you reflect on what works and what does not.
This is not a passive experience. It is also not a party. It is a genuine experiment in small-scale, sustainable living โ and it is looking for people who are curious enough, open enough, and willing enough to try.

Training & The Habitat Hub Approach
