🇩🇪 ESC Volunteering in Germany 🧒 After-School Care and Community Volunteer at Jugendpflege Markt Goldbach 🌻

Small town. Big heart. Goldbach is a small but well-connected community in Germany, and Jugendpflege Markt Goldbach is looking for an ESC volunteer to support their after-school care programme at a primary school and contribute to the life of their multigenerational centre. If you enjoy working with children, like the idea of a genuine community role, and want to bring your own creative ideas to the table — this placement offers real space to do exactly that.

🏘️ About the Role

The volunteer will be active in two settings: a primary school after-school care programme and a multigenerational centre. Both offer different opportunities to connect with people across different ages and backgrounds — from 6-year-olds doing homework to adults joining cooking or language sessions.

📋 What You’ll Do

📚 Support the after-school care programme at a primary school — helping children aged 6–10 with homework

🎨 Organise meaningful leisure activities for children with plenty of creative freedom

🍳 Offer activities at the multigenerational centre — cooking, language, sports courses, or other ideas depending on your interests and arrangements with staff

🤝 Be an active presence in the local community of Goldbach

🚌 Deutschlandticket — monthly public transport pass valid across all of Germany

🗣️ German language course offered if needed

📚 On-arrival and mid-term training sessions held in different cities across Germany — providing both learning and networking opportunities with other volunteers

🤝 Monthly regional volunteer meetings organised and supported by the coordinating organisation

👤 Who Should Apply

Jugendpflege Markt Goldbach is looking for a volunteer who:

🎨 Is creative and enjoys spending time with children and people of different ages

🌍 Is open-minded and willing to try new things

💪 Is motivated to spend time in a small town — Goldbach is small but well connected by bike and bus to a nearby larger town

🗣️ Has some German language skills — an advantage but not required
