ADRA Serbia is looking for an ESC volunteer to take on the role of Community Center Coordinator at their community center in Belgrade โ a substantive, responsibility-facing placement for someone who is genuinely motivated by social change.
๐ข About ADRA Serbia
ADRA โ the Adventist Development and Relief Agency โ is an international humanitarian organisation with a strong presence in Serbia. Their Belgrade Community Center works directly with children, youth, ethnic minorities, and other marginalised and vulnerable groups, providing services, programmes, and a space for social integration and empowerment.
๐ฏ The Role
The Community Center Coordinator assists the manager in overseeing and coordinating all aspects of the community center’s activities and services. The role requires someone who is culturally sensitive, organised, and genuinely committed to inclusive, empowering community work.
๐ Responsibilities
๐๏ธ Coordinate activities and volunteers at the Community Center
๐ค Collaborate with partners and stakeholders on programmes and initiatives
๐ฃ Communicate services and programmes to the local community
๐ Refer service users to relevant services and support networks
๐ Gather feedback from participants on programme quality and needs
๐ค Present the Community Center’s work to interested parties and external audiences
๐ Maintain records of programmes, events, and supporting documentation
๐ก๏ธ Ensure safety, hygiene, and necessary materials for center operations
๐ What ADRA Serbia Provides
๐ Appropriate accommodation near the Community Center and workspace โ each volunteer has their own lockable room
๐ Free public transport with frequent connections (every 5โ15 minutes) between the Community Center and the city centre
๐ถ Monthly allowance of โฌ500 to cover food and communication costs
๐ Initial and ongoing orientation training with a consistent emphasis on self-assessment
๐ Training workshops in various formats โ including specialist training on working with homeless people and young people leaving care
๐ก Personal learning goals and interests taken into account when identifying training opportunities
