🇵🇱 ESC Volunteering in Poland 🎭 Supporting MyPo!nt Festival — LARP, Civic Expression & Creativity 🎨

What if a festival could give voice to the people democracy most often overlooks? That’s the idea behind MyPo!nt — a bilingual festival in Poland built around Live Action Role-Playing (LARP), artistic expression, and civic engagement. Stowarzyszenie Europe 4 Youth is looking for ESC volunteers to help make it happen, and the role is as creative and hands-on as it sounds.

🎪 About MyPo!nt Festival

MyPo!nt is a festival designed to create space for expression and civic participation for those whose voices are often overlooked in today’s democracy. Through LARPs and artistic expression, participants explore their needs, opinions, concerns, and expectations — making the festival both a creative event and a genuinely political one. It runs bilingually in Polish and English to ensure everyone feels welcome regardless of how they play, create, or connect.

🎯 The Role

Volunteers will support the preparation, organisation, and implementation of MyPo!nt Festival. Before the festival begins, the first week of the mobility is dedicated entirely to training — so no prior LARP or theatre experience is required.

📋 What You’ll Do

🏗️ Help with preparation of spaces for the festival

👗 Assist in costume-making for LARP activities

📋 Provide organisational support during the festival itself

🎭 Take on the role of NPCs (Non-Player Characters) in live action role-playing games

🤝 Support whatever other tasks are needed to make the festival run smoothly

🧠 Training Provided

During the first week of the mobility, volunteers will receive training in:

🎲 LARP methods — live action role-playing from the ground up

🎭 Improvised theatre techniques

🧵 Costume-making

🛠️ Any other skills needed to support festival activities

🎁 What the Organisation Provides

🏠 Accommodation at the Training and Education Center in Rabka-Zdrój — rooms of 2–5 people, each with a private bathroom and not mixed. Bedding and towels provided

🍽️ 3 meals per day — breakfast, lunch, and dinner

🏔️ The centre is surrounded by mountains, forest, and a river — with an outdoor pool, a nearby park, and a closet full of board games

🏙️ During the festival itself, accommodation will be provided in Kraków

👤 Who Should Apply

The ideal MyPo!nt volunteer:

🎨 Is creative and motivated

🔄 Is good at adapting to situations

🌍 Is tolerant and accepting of other people and their cultures

🎲 Is interested in LARP and willing to dive in

✅ Agrees with ESC values

🗣️ Has a good level of English

💪 Can handle stress and work both independently and in groups
