Make a real difference in the lives of vulnerable children in the historic city of Thessaloniki! 🇬🇷✨ ARSIS Social Organization for Youth Support is inviting compassionate volunteers to join the “Creating Connections” program. Based in the ARSIS House in Oreokastro, you will be a vital part of a team providing stability, care, and emotional strength to unaccompanied minors. Through creative workshops, theater, and non-formal education, you will help these children build trust and self-confidence while developing your own professional skills in child protection and social work. 🚀🌟🌍

🌍 Did You Know? Thessaloniki is Greece’s “Cultural Capital,” famous for its White Tower and vibrant student life. ARSIS has been a leading NGO in Greece since 1992, dedicated to protecting youth at risk! 🏛️💙

Your Impactful Roles & Tasks

🎨 Creative Workshops: Organizing experiential workshops in arts, crafts, graffiti, or theater to encourage self-expression.
📚 Non-Formal Education: Teaching English and leading interactive learning sessions to boost children’s communication skills.
🤝 Emotional Support: Creating a safe environment focused on well-being, helping children regain trust and self-confidence.
🏢 Shelter Life: Supporting the daily activities of the Reception Centers and the ARSIS House in Oreokastro.

Professional Training Provided

🛡️ Child Protection: Intensive training on methodologies and tools to ensure the safety and well-withing of vulnerable children.
📖 Teaching Methodologies: Learn how to teach English using interactive and enjoyable non-formal education tools.
👥 Ongoing Mentorship: Constant support and guidance from the experienced ARSIS professional staff.
🌍 Did You Know? The project focuses on “Creating Connections,” aiming to bridge the gap between these vulnerable minors and the local community through culture and art! 🕊️🎨

Accommodation & Financial Support

🏠 Housing: Volunteers stay in a fully equipped two-bedroom apartment in Thessaloniki, shared with up to two other international roommates.
💶 Monthly Allowance: Total support of 400 EUR per month (180€ pocket money + 220€ food money).
🚌 Transport: An unlimited monthly travel card for the Thessaloniki public transport system is provided.
