🌍 ESC Individual Volunteering Opportunity in Italy

This ESC volunteering project takes place in Arese, Italy and focuses on animal protection and shelter care. The initiative is run by an animal rights organisation dedicated to protecting dogs and rescued farm animals while promoting awareness about animal welfare.

Volunteers will support the daily care of dogs living in the shelter and assist the organisation in activities promoting animal protection and responsible treatment of animals. The experience offers hands-on work with animals while learning about animal welfare, shelter management and advocacy for animal rights.

✨ Volunteer Activities

🐕 Feeding dogs and supporting their daily care routines
🚶 Taking dogs for walks and supporting their wellbeing
🧼 Cleaning shelter spaces and maintaining hygiene
🐾 Learning about each animal’s personality and special needs
📢 Supporting events and campaigns promoting animal rights
📱 Assisting communication activities including social media and website updates
🐄 Helping with rescued farm animals located in Magnago

🏠 Accommodation, Food & Financial Support

🏡 Shared double room in an apartment with another volunteer
💶 Pocket money: 6 € per day
🍽 Food allowance: 110 € per month
🥗 Lunch provided during working days by the organisation
🌱 Vegan diet required while working at the shelter
🌍 Shelter located in a small town approximately one hour from a large city

🎓 Training and Learning

📚 On-arrival training organised by the National Agency
🐾 Training related to animal care, shelter safety and hygiene
📱 Guidance for communication and social media tasks

👤 Participant Profile

👨 The organisation is looking for 1 male volunteer
❤️ Strong love for animals, especially dogs
🐕 Experience with animals (shelters, pet sitting, veterinary background) is an advantage
💪 Willingness to perform physical work and outdoor tasks
🌿 Comfortable living on the shelter territory and working closely with animals
🌱 Openness to the organisation’s vegan and antispeciesist lifestyle during activities
📱 Basic knowledge of social media platforms such as Instagram or TikTok is a plus
🇮🇹 Motivation to learn Italian during the project
📄 CV and Motivation Letter must be submitted in English
