🌟 Opportunity Overview
This European Solidarity Corps individual volunteering opportunity is hosted by VIAC – Institut pre podporu a rozvoj mladeze, a Christian Catholic NGO based in Trstená, Slovakia 🇸🇰. The organisation works in youth centres, community spaces, and camps, focusing on education, creativity, culture, and values-based youth work.
The project welcomes 6 volunteers who are open to learning, community living, and supporting young people through meaningful activities inspired by Christian values.

🎯 Main Activities & Responsibilities
⛪ Support the daily life and maintenance of the youth centre
🎒 Take part in youth camps and community centre activities
🎨 Prepare and lead educational, creative, and cultural activities for young people
🤝 Engage in community life and teamwork within the organisation
🌱 Share values, experiences, and positive attitudes with young people in a respectful and open way

🏠 Accommodation, Food & Local Transport
🏡 Accommodation provided either in the youth centre or a shared flat in the centre of Trstená
💶 Pocket money and food allowance provided monthly
🍽️ Lunch available at the organisation or self-arranged
✈️ Travel costs reimbursed according to Erasmus+ distance band rules

📚 Training & Support During the Activity
🎓 Onboarding training provided by the hosting organisation
🧭 Ongoing guidance and support throughout the volunteering period

👤 Participant Profile
✔️ Aged 18–30
✔️ Preferably with a positive attitude towards Christianity, but open to anyone willing to learn and respect the environment
✔️ Communication-level English required
✔️ Previous volunteering, youth work, or social work experience is an asset
✔️ Preference for applicants not requiring a visa for short stays
🚫 Applicants from Algeria cannot be accepted for this project
