🌲 Outdoor Hard Skills Training 🌍 – European Solidarity Corps

Location: Galyatető, Hungary
Dates: 14-22 March 2025
Focus: Outdoor experiential education, low rope courses, group-building, and a short overnight expedition in the woods.

What to Expect
This 7-day training course combines hands-on experiences and practical skills to enhance your expertise in outdoor education. You’ll explore low rope elements, group-building activities, and wilderness overnight expeditions, gaining tools to work with youth, including highly vulnerable groups.

Program Objectives:

Master low rope elements: Learn to use them as educational tools.
Expedition skills: Overnight in the woods to understand its value in youth work.
Wilderness First Aid & Risk Management: Increase your awareness and safety skills.
Experience high rope activities: Participate in high rope challenges (note: not focused on building high ropes).
Self-awareness: Strengthen your understanding through outdoor experiential activities.

By the end of this course, you’ll have practical tools, technical skills, and deeper self-awareness to integrate outdoor experiential education into your youth work programs.

Who Should Apply?
Open to:

Youth workers, trainers, educators, and professionals working with youth.
Diverse roles such as instructors, facilitators, teachers, psychologists, and coaches.
Participants aged 18+ from Austria , Belgium , Croatia , Czech Republic , Denmark , Finland , France , Germany , Greece , Hungary , Italy , Latvia , Lithuania , Poland , Portugal , Romania , Slovakia , Spain , Sweden , Türkiye .

Logistics

Accommodation & Meals: Fully covered by Erasmus+ (3 meals/day).

Travel Costs Reimbursement: Based on EU distance calculator:
- 10-99 km: €28 (€56 green travel)
- 100-499 km: €211 (€285 green travel)
- 500-1999 km: €309 (€417 green travel)
- 2000-2999 km: €395 (€535 green travel)
