An impactful ESC Volunteering opportunity in Cyprus ๐จ๐พ with โHOPE FOR CHILDRENโ CRC Policy Center, one of the leading child protection organisations in Europe.
This long-term volunteering project places young people directly inside the Research & Development Division, working on childrenโs rights, social justice, advocacy, research, and non-formal education at national and European level.
๐๏ธ Host Organisation
โHOPE FOR CHILDRENโ CRC Policy Center is an international humanitarian organisation based in Nicosia, Cyprus, dedicated to promoting and protecting the rights of children in line with the UN Convention on the Rights of the Child and EU law.
The organisation employs more than 110 professionals and operates shelters, research units, counselling centres, education programmes, and international advocacy initiatives across Europe and beyond.
๐งฉ Volunteering Activities
๐ฑ Support daily work of the Research & Development Division
๐ Assist with desk and field research on childrenโs rights
๐ง Contribute to EU-funded projects, research and advocacy initiatives
๐จ Support non-formal education workshops and awareness activities
๐ข Help organise national and international campaigns, conferences and trainings
๐ค Collaborate in a multidisciplinary, multicultural professional environment

Volunteering Period
โณ 12 months
๐ Starting in February 2026
โ ๏ธ Applicants must be available to start in February 2026
๐ถ Practical Arrangements
๐ Shared accommodation arranged by the host organisation
๐ฝ๏ธ Food allowance: 180 โฌ per month
๐ธ Pocket money: 7 โฌ per day
๐ Local transport allowance: 50 โฌ per month
โ๏ธ International travel reimbursed according to ESC distance bands
๐ Training and Support
๐ฏ On-arrival and mid-term training by the Cypriot National Agency
๐งโ๐ซ Task-specific training provided by HFC staff
๐ Online language support included
๐ค Continuous mentoring and supervision throughout the activity
๐ค Participant Profile
๐ Aged 20โ30
๐ University degree in Political Science, International Relations, Sociology, Law, Education or related fields
๐ Comfortable working in a multicultural and international environment
๐ก Interest in childrenโs rights, social justice and vulnerable groups
๐ Interest or experience in research and project work (or strong motivation to learn)
๐ฅ Proactive, organised, ethical and motivated
๐ฃ๏ธ Good knowledge of English (additional languages are an asset)
